Ìfẹ́'s background offers a rich tapestry, and includes formal training in classical and jazz voice and diligent study in clinical mental health counseling and indigenous psychology. She is an anti-racist educator and maternal child health consultant, trained in perinatal and postpartum mental health, and has over 30 years experience as a social activist. A spiritual practitioner of Ifá Orisa, her scholarly research examines the intersections of traditional spiritual practice and community wellbeing.
Ìfẹ́ is the founder of abiyamothemotherline, englishthat!, an online English language development platform, and PhDifferent, a podcast that features the narratives of doctoral students and alumni on the intersectionality of identity.
